We had the opportunity recently to solve a downspout related drainage problem at a local area residence.
The issue was that a single aluminum downspout pipe was located within a very busy rear corner of the house and had been clogged for an extended period of time with no easy way to clean.
The previous aluminum downspout drain pipe was resting atop a gravel covered bed, almost touching the A/C unit and was partially buried. The previous discharge point was located in an adjacent bare soil bed which showed signs of erosion.
Our solution was to create a buried/solid pvc pipe downspout drain system that is completely serviceable, filter out any/all debris, discharge water safely away from rear foundation into back yard lawn and no longer be in close proximity to A/C unit. A custom-fit, color matched aluminum downspout pipe was neatly installed (including air-gap) to meet new drain basin/cover and lawn repairs performed to complete the project.
