On-site ice melt material storage for maximum application efficiency!

Updated: Oct 23, 2021

When we are planning to provide snow and ice management services at a large commercial property (in particular), we look at any/all options to store our bulk or bagged ice melt materials directly on-site.

We find that by stocking our needed salt/ice melt materials directly on-site, we can provide a better service for our client. A service that is much more responsive and efficient, especially during large winter storm events.

Here are a few ways that bulk or bagged salt can be stored temporarily on-site.

  • Temporary steel storage container (also known as a shipping container or Conex box). Sizes vary from 10′ to 53′ in length, 8′-10′ in width and up to 9.5′ tall.  Containers can be rented or purchased.

  • Unused existing garages or sheds.

  • Temporary bulk material bin made from concrete blocks.
