Just a few weeks ago I was told about a pretty unique private website called Nextdoor.
Nextdoor is a FREE local social network that was exclusively created for our unique neighborhoods (across the United States) and the individual residents that choose to reside in them.
Whether it be local classifieds, crime and safety, urgent alerts, free items, event announcements, lost and found, etc. the usefulness of this website appears to be positively growing each and every day.
I have found that even a brief visit to the site can translate into a greater sense of neighborhood awareness. If you have just a few minutes to spare, check the site out for yourself. I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
